Feròs… adj; means “fierce” in Creole.
We started Feròs because we believed in making strong women and men stronger. By giving them the confidence to feel fierce in their own skin.
Dr. Rachel Thomas:
I am the founder of Feròs Concierge Aesthetic Medicine. I am a board certified Emergency Medicine Physician by trade. I attended medical school at Oregon Health and Sciences University in Portland, and my undergrad at the University of Southern California. I attended residency in Emergency Medicine at the University of Arizona in Tucson
As an emergency medicine doctor, when I first wanted botox and researched the options, I was shocked to discover that there are no training requirements for injectors in the state of Idaho. I didn’t feel comfortable with that and a friend and I decided to take an intensive training course run for medical professionals so that we could give each other botox safely.
Turned out I enjoyed giving botox and filler treatments, and friends and family with similar reservations started asking me to give them treatments too. Before I knew it, Feròs was born!
What started as my own botox treatments and occasional botox parties at friends’ houses, has now turned into a boutique aesthetic practice in the heart of downtown Boise. We now offer botox, fillers, kybella, vitamin injections, infusions and platelet rich plasma facials/hair restoration/joint treatments.
I’m a mom of 2 young kids, and spend my days running around from the hospital to Feròs, from dance to jujitsu. I am all about healthy living, but as a busy mom and doctor, aesthetic medicine is what I use to help me age gracefully.
I find one of the most enjoyable aspects of giving aesthetic treatments is taking time to educate clients on the products I’m using, and allaying their fears. We talk about how the facial muscles work to understand why different combinations of treatments are best for different people. We are each unique, and my understanding of anatomy means I can tailor treatments to ensure the right (but not too much) product is used in the correct places to achieve a natural, healthy look that my clients love.
